Audiobook Collections: Penguin Random House
As part of the Penguin Random House Audio art team, I create all audiobook collection covers. Some of these collections are original designs, some follow brand guidelines for specific authors or series, and others are edited versions of previous print designs.
Mock Print Work
In my free time, I like to reimagine existing books with new covers very unlike their current style, or think up some mock book ideas and see where a simple made-up plot summary can take me creatively.
Photoshop Work: Penguin Random House Audio
When working on converting print covers to audio square covers, many designs do not extend to a full square. When this happens, I use Adobe Photoshop to move and resize existing layers and extend the existing art, usually using a mix of content-aware fills and clone stamping. This is all to create a seamless cover that looks like it was square all along!
